Assistant Professor in Finance

Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University

Wenquan Li is an Assistant Professor in Finance at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). He earned a PhD in Finance from The University of Queensland (UQ). Wenquan’s primary research interests include environmental and climate finance, household finance, and behavioral finance. His recent working papers also involve corporate bonds and mergers & acquisitions.

Wenquan’s research has been presented at prestigious conferences (e.g., AFA, FIRN, FMA, EFMA, AsianFA, CAFM, and NZFM) and featured on The FinReg Blog of the Duke Financial Economics Center. He received the Dean’s Award for Outstanding HDR Theses from UQ.

He serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for ABDC A*/A journals (e.g., BAR, JBFA, and JIFMIM) and is an alumnus of Ant Group’s Young Leaders Program in FinTech Research.
